Luan and family are great. They are a very kind and genuine family running a sweet little homestay. We had dinner with the family and other guests, which was lovingly home cooked by the family. We loved the family and their garden where our children had room to run around. The rooms were basic, but with cute touches, the bathrooms and toilets outside and shared, but since it's a very private courtyard, it's not a problem. They can also fix up a nice dinner for 90 000 vnd per person, including one drink. The bathrooms should really have the hooks for towels and clothes somewhere else than right in the shower steam :) and we missed a small reading light in the rooms. The only real downside was that although I had read there are several buses from Kon Tum to Pakse, Vietnam, they insisted us take the only one they knew and the 8-hour ride ended up being 11 hours, and in the end we were dropped off in a bus station 8km from the center of town, which no-one warned us about. Later we read that it's quite common and several blogs and guidebooks warn about this that the guesthouses in Kon Tum are likely to book you on a local bus, rather then the tourist bus that goes to where the hotels are in town and doesn't make a thousand cargo delivery and pickup stops on the way, so consider yourselves warned.

The homestay is very clean and the hosts are really friendly and helpful. It wasn't clear that the bathrooms are shared, this wasn't a problem with plenty of hot water and good showers, however all the rooms weren't full so not sure how it would be if that was the case. Lovely gardens and a great way to meet fellow travellers and share stories
