Het appartement is heel compleet ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Hoewel het wat verder van het centrum is, vonden wij het een heel fijne uitvalsbasis voor een lang weekend Berlijn. De communicatie met Uwe verliep goed. Houd er wel rekening mee dat er geen verduisteringsgordijnen in de woonkamer zijn (tip: neem slaapmasker mee). Uwe, dank voor het prettige verblijf!

The apartment itself was simply perfect: it was clean and had all the facilities we could have wished for (well-provided kitchen, nice hot shower, big TV screen). However: when trying to get to the apartment, pay good attention of the postal code! It turned out that there are several Uhlandstrassen in Berlin, and we ended up at the wrong one. It takes an hour by public transport to get to the apartment from Berlin Hauptbahnhof.

Great place, good location, responsive host. It was lovely to hear the birds sing and have peace and quiet. Great supermarket near by and close to regular transport links. My only minor negative comment was that we were asked to "leave the place as we found it", wash the pots, take out the rubbish, strip the bedding etc. I of course always leave places clean, but I expect a certain flexibility after paying around €40 for a cleaning fee. I didn't notice the text in the welcome pack asking me to take our empty bottles to the supermarket, which was my error. However we cleaned the bottles and left them by the front door. The owner complained that taking these bottles to the supermarket would be "very expensive for them", which feels like a stretch. I think €40 should comfortably cover this plus an hour's cleaning to flip the rental.
