自我介绍

We (my husband Duane and I) love the outdoors, which is why we live in the country. I'm a full-time artist and work here at home and my husband works out, but is a farmer at heart. He grew up on a dairy farm in Iowa and I grew up in rural New Hampshire. We both ended up out here and married about 20 years ago. We tend to stay home a lot and love to show people around our place. We live upstairs and you will have the entire downstairs apartment. We've put in an old, weathered door to keep the two spaces separate and you will have complete privacy, with your own entrance. We spend a lot of time working on the outside or the inside. I love interior design - I suppose it's my hobby. Duane is outdoors working as much as possible during the spring, summer and fall months. All the beautiful flowers and growing things around our place are because of his hard work. He's constantly updating the outside and I'm constantly updating the inside. Together, we love being hospitable and sharing what we have with others. We love coffee and often bring our own when traveling. Not that we are connoisseurs, but we do like a good cup of coffee, or tea. With that in mind, we stock the downstairs with coffee, Tetley tea and herb teas, sugar, honey and creamer. You'll also find bagels, muffins, and fruit for breakfast. We have 8 chickens, and 4 cats, which sounds eccentric, but it happens.(The cats, I mean). The cats stay outdoors or upstairs. We are happy to accommodate you as much as possible, so let us know if there are particulars you are particular about. There's no TV but there are lots of stars which are easy to see on clear nights, and charming summer sounds to be heard if you have the windows open. We do have free Wi-Fi. As hosts, you'll find us easy to be around, pretty low key and friendly. We'll be happy to answer your questions and show you around and make you comfortable. You're welcome to have coffee with us in the morning or join us in the evening, but we won't bug you to do so. We're here to make your stay as nice as we can.
