We had a fantastic stay at Makeelan House. Everything was perfect. The house, the view and the host Debby. The house is very spacious. From the living room, kitchen, fireplace room and master bedroom there are amazing, wonderful and extensive views of the sea and the Renvyle Peninsula. The kitchen is a dream too, fully equipped with a 5-burner gas stove ideal for roasting steaks. I particularly liked being woken up in the morning by the sun's rays in the master bedroom and my first view of the sea. For breakfast we sat on the bar stools and enjoyed the sea view while eating and in the evening after an eventful day we enjoyed the sunset in comfortable, soft leather armchairs in a kind of winter garden with a 275 degree panoramic view. Debbie and her sister Julie were extremely nice and friendly hosts whose tips about the area were absolutely valuable to us. From Peddie's taxi service to the courtesy bus to excursion tips. We would be happy if we could be guests there again.

We spent a magnificent week in the Makeelan house (4 adults & 3 kids) Debbie is a very caring host and she made everything to feel as welcome. We followed some of her tipps and had a wonderful night with Irish Music & Dance in a local event hall. The house is beautiful. The views from the rooms are breathtaking (the sea, the waves, the sunsets), so we were quite happy that we had also a rainy morning to just read, drink tea & enjoy the house. We liked the well staffed kitchen a lot, did some baking & cooking, you will not miss anything. We explored a lot different things in close proximity & and both kids & adults were well entertained. A place to remeber & to visit again!

We were hosted by Debbie years ago in another property, so we knew we could book in confidence with her for staying at her sister's place. This one is just as amazing, with breathtaking views from every room and loads of space inside. It felt like a privilege to stay there. We were warmly greeted by debbie and could ask nothing more. Thanks a million.

Makeelan house is a stunning detached property with great amenities and magnificent views. If you you are seeking a self contained calm oasis you really couldn’t find a better property. The welcome from the owner (Julie) and sister (Debbie) was really lovely and made us feel really welcome. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the area

What a glorious gorgeous setting the house enjoys. Spectacular views all the way around. Whilst we had quite unpredictable weather we still really enjoyed being inside the very clean house as it has so much on offer with a fully equipped kitchen (all applicances, Nespresso, ice machine..), lots of books and boardgames, super speed internet and cable tv, restful places to lounge and enjoy the views and very comfortable beds and pillow selections.... showers were strong, lots of hot water, heating available if needed and nice linens and towels on offer. The excellent book of local tips was perused too. Nothing to fault! Thank you for such a warm welcome and easy checkin and checkout.
