Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Petrie camp. It’s hard to find rentals along this pretty stretch of the Lake, so this is a real find. This is a classic Canadian camp and you’ll get a sense of many happy summers from the family photos and souvenirs. It comes well-equipped with movies and games. The kitchen has all the necessities, including a microwave (no dishwasher - this is camp). The bathroom has been recently renovated. There’s an excellent gas grill on the patio in back which we used several times. It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay. We liked sitting in the sun room with our coffee looking at the trees and lake. There’s beautiful water for swimming but the beach is accessed by a steep set of stairs which might be difficult for some. There’s a convenience store (LCBO/gas/ice cream), laundromat and small restaurant 10 minutes up the road. Also a shop with fresh and smoked fish, and local crafts and gifts. For big grocery stores, you’ll have to go into T-Bay, about 25 minutes alway. Our genial host was in the place next door and quick to help with anything that we needed.

This is a family cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Superior. We found it charming and a great place to relax. It had everything we needed. This is a cabin that was built in the th 1940's or 1950's so some things are old. Some of the doors don't close all the way and the toilet was slow draining. These aren't big problems but you should know about them.
