Look no further, we've got you covered. Stone House Martelina is located in a small village ideal for a peaceful and relaxed vacation. It belongs to Natura 2000, network of nature protection areas in the territory of the European Union. We are located 2,500 m from the center of Starigrad Paklenica in the village where only a few houses can be found. While we were building this house we paid attention to use as much as possible natural material such as wood and stone… Our idea was to make an authentic house. It is a two-storey house. On the ground floor, there is a living area and bedrooms are on the upper floor. You can rent this house all year because it is equipped with fireplace and air-conditioning. In the winter time, we provide woods for the fireplace. In the yard, there is a barbecue, a large wooden table, and deck chairs. A little something extra for you is our very well maintained garden. Mostly we grow vegetables and if is ready to eat fill free to pick whatever you want and taste some naturally grown food. This area is most famous for the National Park Paklenica ideal for hiking and free climbing. You can also go on one of our kilometers long beaches and enjoy the sea view and amazing view of the mountain. Our main beach is equipped with sports facilities and a children playground . Near us, there are three other national parks you can visit: Plitvice lakes, Velebit and Krka waterfalls as also nearby towns Šibenik and Zada

Amazing stone tiny house well suited for four guests. Kind hearted hosts with great knowledge of the area. Really clean and well equiped, everything (wood, TP, cooking oil, you name it) is kindly provided!
We rented “Martelinas Stone House” near Starigrad. The house is newly renovated in a tasteful, rustic style. It was very clean and well equipped for our ten days stay. The owners Davorka and Tome met us and they are the nicest people. Warm, friendly and full of good advice for the area. They had prepared a plate of Ham, cheese, olives and fresh bread rolls for us and wine and water. The house has been in Tome’s family for generations. They were always on hand by telephone to answer our questions. Absolutely super hosts. There was a heat wave while we were there and the house itself is fairly cool. There is a covered shady terrace in front of the house. The only surprise was that the house is a bit smaller than it looks in the photo’s. The area behind the house is wild rocky nature, there is a lovely 4 km road going further up the mountain with spectacular views, to a beautiful parking spot where good walks begin. Starigrad is 2 kms down the road from the house.
What a beautiful house. I love that its been in their family for generations. It was so pretty and quaint. The hosts couldn't do enough for us, they made us a delicious platter, gave us recommendations for resturants and kept us up to date with local festivities. The beds were comfy, the house had everything we needed. Its located high up a hill from the town so a car is pretty necessary but this is part of the charm the fact its tucked away from noise and tourists. Thank you for having us we had a lovely time!
This is a fantastic place to spend your holidays! The house is cosy and has a great space for outdoor cooking. Even though it was super warm, the bedrooms stay cool and the nights are wonderfully silent up there. The hosts are great, very welcoming and helpful. We went to Paklenica for hiking tours and the house is the perfect starting point for that. Loved every minute of it!
Our stay was wonderful and special! Being in this stone house looking down on the Adria on the one hand and up into the mountains of Paclenica National park on the other hand was a great experience. We enjoyed the silence up there, went for hikes but also explored the costal line up north and down south. Simply beautiful. The outside area of the house is really inviting and also inside it was really cozy.

Starigrad is the center of the Paklenica Riviera, which was founded on the remains of the ancient city of Argyruntum. Today it is the place where the sea and the mountain meet, a tourist spot that is a gathering place for mountaineers, alpinists and adventurers who are preparing for a walk in the Paklenica National Park. Numerous caves in the vicinity of Starigrad will attract those eager to explore. Long pebble beaches and hidden coves complemented by the green slopes of Paklenica and Velebit are an incredible sight.
