This was truly a home away from home. The moment we stepped in we felt welcomed. The rooms are nice and clean and tastefully decorated with lots of love and care. Except for some initial issues with the hold and cold water, which we understood was intentionally kept that way, everything was perfect. Overall the property is beautiful and we liked the peaceful locality as well. In spite of being a calm and quiet place it is very well connected to all parts of the city. We have already started missing our rosy and cosy 32 Netherhall Gardens. We will comeback and stay here again and will recommend to our friends for sure.
The flat is not on the first floor as advertised. No elevator either, so not easily accessible for those with disabilities. The hot water and the central heating was out. The host's representative was not helpful - took over 24 hours to schedule maintenance and then asked that we allow a handyman to arrive between 6-10pm. Refused to provide a refund. We were grateful to AirBnB support for salvaging out trip.
The hood and the bad. Start with the good. Quiet neighborhood, close to trains, walkable to town, spacious, cozy. The bad, the apt had a beautiful gas burning fireplace. It was on when we arrived and it provides a lot of heat to the living room where it is. The problem we had was we could not find a remote to shut it off. There were no directions to operate it. The thermostat for the apt was in the same room, therefore we could never get the heat to come on due to that room being so room. That left the bedrooms and bathrooms much cooler. I contacted Jeremy and he responded that he could not find any solutions to this problem and could not help with turning the fireplace off. The second problem was the hot water. It was intermittent in the shower. It would fluctuate hot and cold every few seconds while in the shower. By day 2 of our stay, there was not hot water at all. Again, contacted Jeremy and again all they did was apologize but could not offer any solutions. Unacceptable

Joan and I live part of each month in this apartment and the rest of the time in Wales from where I manage a healthcare business operating in both the UK and in China. Our apartment is in one of the converted Victorian Mansions in a closed off street in Hampstead. The street is lined with Acacia, Cherry and Lime trees which attract many different finches, sparrows, doves, pigeons and Jays: so we relish both the serenity of the apartment and the fact that we have access in five minutes walk to the street life of Hampstead Village or Central London. We love the friendliness of complete strangers of all nationalities and languages we meet on the Underground, in pubs and restaurants and on the pavements of this Buzzy city.
