Das Zelt Nr.1 war sehr schön und geräumig mit einer Terrasse an einem kleinen Seitenarm des Flusses. Man konnte nachts mit Nilpferdgegrunze einschlafen. Auch die Aussendusche war toll. Die Affen schauten einem teils beim Duschen zu. Das zusätzlich angebotene Frühstück und Dinner waren sehr lecker.

I loved my stay at Askiesbos! I was here for a month to conduct research in Nxamasere. I arrived much later in the day than I originally estimated, but Dammann and Hettie stayed in close contact with me and Dammann was waiting for me at the gate to welcome me upon arrival. They were extremely hospitable and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. They also supported my research by allowing me to use the beautiful lounge area for some of my data elicitation sessions (not to mention providing a reliable internet connection and power source, which goes a long way in my field!). The chef, Titi, cooks fantastic food that feels like dining out at a restaurant. I would definitely recommend staying here for vacations or for work.

Hettie and Damman were wonderful hosts, always helpful and accommodating. It's a beautiful property and we loved going out on the river. The bird life is fantastic and it's a quiet and peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed staying here so much and hope to come back again, and would definitely recommend it to others.

Wir genossen bei unserem Aufenthalt wundervolle Gastfreundschaft und eine reiche Tierwelt, die rund ums Zelt zu sehen oder zu hören war: Buschböcke, Hypos, viele Vögel. Das Zelt selber war sehr sauber, die Betten waren sehr bequem und es gab ausreichend Ablageflächen. Die Gemeinschaftsküche befindet sich in einem gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Ein Highlight ist die Außendusche. Alles Drumherum ist liebevoll durchdacht. Die Askiesbos Lodge ist ein Ort, an dem man sehr gerne wieder zurückkehren würde.

We had a wonderful time in one of the Safari tents which are very clean and well equipped. A highlight is the outside shower with an open view over the river! Not to forget the communal kitchen. The host family is a pleasure to meet. We definitely recommend a stay!
