Dear Ted & Renee, Your home in the Historic Dauphin District was a great way to get to know the culture and lifestyle of the area. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and beyond. There were areas to eat within waking distance and wonderful neighborhood eateries only a little farther away. Our home had every amenity needed to eat in, watch TV watch a movie, a front porch swing to watch people jogging, walking, people walking their children or dogs., reading or just listening to the birds singing all day long. Very relaxing. If you were to stay with children, there was a room with twin beds, many toys for indoor or outdoor, TV with videos, books , a port-a-crib, baby bath tub, highchair, etc. And the loft, for maybe computer using and an extra sweet bedroom! I could go on and on. Blessings to all who take advantage of the opportunity to stay there. Norm & Judy
Ted's place was absolutely amazing and we had a great stay. Clean, spacious, well thought out and comfortable. The location was just perfect for us. It was quiet and both the front patio (nice swing!) and back patio were great to spend time. We travelled with our baby boy and he had a lot of space to crawl. There was a high chair ready to use by the time we got there. plenty of parking too! Overall, it was a great space for our family and we definitely recommend staying here!
Ted & Renee have a beautiful home in the Mobile area, we feel like we are at home when we stay here. It is very convenient to downtown, groceries and restaurants. The neighborhood is private and peaceful with lots of people running or walking their dogs. Thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful home while we were in Mobile, AL
The house was immaculately clean upon arrival! Great neighborhood and not far from many things to do. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. Easy check in and check out. I recommend!!
Bridal party and myself stayed here to get ready for my daughters wedding. it was so close to our Orthodox church, and with Mardi Gra weekend, it made it so convenient. The home was so charming and roomy. my daughter and all guests could see that our hosts were very accommodating to every need that we had, and even a bottle of Champagne for the bride was such a nice touch. We loved the cozy rustic and modern touches combined. I could see that the hosts had taken a lot of time to keep the original charm of the home in tact. My only suggestion for anyone staying here is be careful pulling into the driveway because of the very low dip at the beginning. it can be damaging to lower riding vehicle, and one of our guests broke a piece off of the underside of their front bumper. We all had to be very careful going in and out of the driveway to avoid the scraping or catching of the front end of the vehicles. I would suggest that a sign be put out by the driveway for future guests.

I fell in love with Mobile when I moved here from Birmingham, Ala., in the early 70's to attend the University of South Alabama, and I've been here ever since. I loved the historic architecture of the Midtown and Downtown areas of Mobile so much that I decided I would build my career around classic architecture. Since my college days, I embarked on a long career that includes restoring much of the historic homes in Mobile and in New Orleans' famous French Quarter. From there, I used that experience to design and build new homes in classic architectural style. A trip to Paris in my 20's to begin my study of the architecture there has influenced the path of my life more than anything. I have traveled to Paris for more than 30 years now to immerse myself particularly in the study of stone masonry architecture. In the mid-1990's, I took a leap of faith and created the DAC-ART Building System, a method of designing and building with "concrete stone" masonry that looks exactly like the beautiful limestone buildings in Paris, New York, Washington, D.C., and other great cities. Like these great buildings, my DAC-ART homes are built to last for many generations, requiring little maintenance and withstanding storms better than any other homes built today. (Google "DAC-ART" to see some of my designs.) Great homes are my passion, and if you would like to visit Renee and me in Mobile, I think you'll understand why I made this place my home so many years ago. Because of DAC-ART, my custom home design business, I have clients all over the country, and that gives me the opportunity to explore their hometowns and meet people from their home states in New York, Connecticut, Texas, Florida, California, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Washington D.C., Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Mississippi, to name a few. Exploring other places and cultures is one of the best perks of my profession, and Renee and I would love to share our city with you! Hope to hear from you soon...
