Our favourite place in Malta was Birgu. The location & views were amazing and we were close to everything we needed including restaurants, coffee shops, ferry to Valletta and a bus stop right out front!! Fiona & Kenneth were very helpful with any questions and great hots. Would highly recommend

We had quite an enjoyable stay at Kenneth's apartment. He and his wife were very friendly and even brought us doughnuts on Sunday, which are made weekly by his wife's mother. The location is convenient and easy to get to, the view from the balcony is beautiful. Its a wonderful spot to have a drink and people watch. The apartment itself was clean and fairly well appointed. Something to note, the second bedroom is very small with an incredibly firm single bed, lumpy pillows, and scratchy poor quality sheets. Fortunately there were spare pillows in the main bedroom and a soft cotton pillow case (a stark contrast to the bedsheets). The second bedroom's bed was unmade upon arrival, which was promptly remedied by Kenneth who gave us access to the apartment. Other than the minor inconveniences, Kenneth's home is still well worth the stay.

Fiona met us on our arrival and showed us around the apartment. Everything we needed and no problems at all. The photos of the harbour on the listing, if anything, understate the location of this roomy apartment. The view is simply stunning. Birgu is also a beautiful locale with far more locals than in, say, Valetta. And in our experience so friendly; we had great conversations with the local bar owner, the Korean gentleman who fed and groomed a cat living by itself on the harbour, a gentleman holding his green finch's cage out of his Maltese balcony so it could sing to neighbours' birds and so many more. Strolling close to the door you are spoilt for decent, quick food bars. Noise, however, was never troublesome even in the late evening. There's so much to see near by and , with the #2 bus stopping on the doorstep and the water taxi to Valetta just a few minutes walk the island is within your grasp.

The apartment is in a fantastic location, overlooking the harbour and in the centre of Birgu. The balcony is the best thing about the property, with the amazing views. Kenneth was a great host, meeting us in person and making sure we had everything we needed.
