Wir waren 14 Tage zu viert (vier Erwachsene) in dieser Unterkunft. Die Wohnung ist groß, hell und mit sämtlichen Inventar ausgestattet. Im Grunde ist die Wohnung so, wie auf den Fotos dargestellt. Uns fehlte es an nichts. Die Betten waren bequem und es gibt mehr als genug Stauraum in den vielen Schränken und Kommoden. Wir sind froh, diese Unterkunft für unseren Aufenthalt ausgesucht zu haben. Die Lage ist zentral, dennoch ist die Wohnung schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Parkplätze in der Nähe waren immer vorhanden. Zum lokalen Strand sind es maximal 10 Minuten zu Fuß. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es Supermärkte, Restaurants und andere Dienstleister. Die kleine Fußgängerzone erreicht man nach 5 Gehminuten. Soverato war eine gute Wahl für unsere erste Reise nach Kalabrien. Die Stadt ist nicht zu groß und überschaubar. Hat gute Infrastruktur, gute und vielfältige Gastronomie, tolle Promenade und gute Anbindung an die Schnellstraßen. Vom Flughafen Lamezia ist man in unter einer Stunde in Soverato. Im September war der Ort für uns perfekt. Nie zu voll. Selbst an den Freitagen und Samstagen hat man in guten Lokalen einen Tisch ohne Reservierung bekommen. Die Landschaft ist sehr ansprechend und überraschend grün. Die grünen Berge und das Meer sind herrlich. Nach Osten und Westen erstrecken sich sämtliche, teilweise leere und unendliche Strände. Das ganz Besondere an dieser Unterkunft ist aber definitiv der sehr engagierte Co-Host – Vincenzo! Die Kommunikation war ab dem Zeitpunkt der Buchung bis zur Abreise perfekt. Wir wurden bei der Anreise vor dem Hauseingang herzlich empfangen. Vincenzo half uns mit den Koffern und zeigte anschließend mit viel Zeit und Ruhe die Wohnung und gab uns alle wichtigen und nützlichen Infos. Die Tipps für die Restaurants, Bars und Strände waren sehr gut und nützlich. Zwischendurch hat sich Vincenzo immer wieder unaufdringlich gemeldet, um nachzufragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist und ob man was braucht. Und wenn wir mal Hilfe brauchten, war er sofort zur Stelle. Man merkte Vincenco an, dass er sich um seine Gäste sehr bemüht und das war für uns sehr angenehm. Daher, noch mal ein „grazie mille di tutto“ an Vincenzo!

Soverato is a quiet, relatively clean small town with a long sandy beach, an excellent lungomare , a newly pedestrianised main street and a wide variety of restaurants and shops. There's no historical centre because the old town was abandoned after an earthquake and lies in ruins a couple of miles inland So a few old buildings but not many places of interest and no tourist office. Quite level and easy to get around. It is a bit mad in July and August when all the lidos are packed with young people. There is plenty of fresh fish available. You won't see any seahorses though unless you go scuba diving. It is a good base for exploring central Calabria if you have a car though there is also a railway line along the coast. But you need to get up into the mountains to see the scenery and the hill top towns and villages. And return to swim in the clear sea and relax on the beach . The flat is more than a holiday flat. You could live there permanently very comfortably. It is very spacious with air conditioning. Quite modern and well appointed with a lift. The best thing was the front balcony with an excellent view of the main square which we found absolutely absorbing watching the comings and going at the different times of day. But surprisingly quiet at night. There is plenty of free parking outside. The landlord Vincenzo lives below and speaks fairly good English. It is good to know that he is there in case of problems, and he is usually around and willing to give help and advice. There is plenty of storage, a good kitchen and all amenities except for a dishwasher. There are useful things like beach towel, ice packs and cool bags and a shopping trolley. Another sofa would have been nice but we mostly sat on the balcony, better than watching tv. The electric supply never tripped. The neighbours seemed friendly. We had a wonderful month there and would be very happy to return.

Vincenzo and Lara’s place went ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations! The home is fully stocked with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The pictures online do no justice to how large and airy their place is and when we walked in we were surprised at how large it is. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioners worked well. The water pressure in the showers was great and the wifi signal was great. The kitchen was large and BEAUTIFUL and fully stocked with anything you need to prepare a large meal or even just a quick coffee. The elevator made bringing our luggage and stroller up much easier. The thoughtful touches they added like the gift basket for our family and change table/ bath for our baby were greatly appreciated. Vincenzo was extremely warm and welcoming and was willing to do anything he could to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Lara was so sweet too but we only met her briefly. The location was perfect too! There are super markets, coffee shops, bakery and an ice cream shops all within a few steps outside the door. At the corner of the street is a wonderful and not expensive take out restaurant which Vincenzo recommended and was perfect for long beach days when we were too tired to cook. It was good food! There was a great pizzeria by the beach as well and the beach itself is only a 4-5 min walk! Once you’re on the lungomare there is so much to do. Our only negative was that we weren’t there long enough! We are already planning our next stay and will make sure it’s a longer one. Thanks again Vincenzo and Lara! Vincenzo and Lara’s apartment is outstanding! It’s absolutely immaculate (and I’m extremely picky)! It has a beautifully updated kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is fully stocked with kitchen items, soap, toothbrushes, beach towels and much more. A visitor could comfortably stay for an extended period and have everything they need. Beds are new and very comfortable. Vincenzo was the most amazing host! We arrived in the early evening and he had gone grocery shopping for us! We arrived to multiple beverages, yogurts, snacks and fruit. We had experienced an issue with our rental car, which we told Vincenzo. The car needed a refill of specific fluid for the engine. Vincenzo not only researched what was needed, he went to the store and bought it for us! “So we had more time to relax and enjoy our vacation” he said. I cannot imagine a more gracious and helpful host! Vincenzo’s thoughtfulness and helpfulness went above and beyond all expectations! The apartment is located in the middle of town, a short walk to the beach and to countless shops and restaurants. If your travels take you to Soverato, definitely stay at Vincenzo and Lara’s! There is no better choice in town!
