We came to Zanzibar as part of a college course and stayed at Blue House during our first week here. Our students stayed in 7 of the single rooms and the trip leads stayed in the 2 bedroom/1 bath shared apartment on the 3rd floor. From the moment we booked the rooms (a couple months prior to our trip) all the way through the remainder of our time in Zanzibar (two weeks after we checked out of Blue House), Petra was super helpful! She is very responsive to messages and is always willing to go above and beyond to assist. She checked in with us to ensure our stay was going well and to offer help the entire way through. It was also an absolute treat to get to eat Mama Rahma's delicious cooking each morning (you have to plan ahead through Petra!) and to get to know the family a little bit. The spaces were clean, comfy, and private and everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend staying at Blue House if you come to Zanzibar Town!!

Es hätte besser sein können war unser Fazit. Am meisten habe ich bedauert das die beschriebene Dachterrasse bei 32 Grad ohne Dach nicht nutzbar war. Das letzte ist beim Sturm kaputt gegangen und kein Balkon an den Zimmern. Die Küche könnte eine Überholung gebrauchen. Töpfe und Deckel ohne Henkel, oder Knöpfe. Am Herd war nur eine Platte nutzbar. Der Kühlschrank für 4 Parteien viel zu klein. Die Betten sehr kommunikativ.... Der Lüfter im Bad defekt.

If you want a very clean place that is a 5 minute walk to Stonetown then book this Airbnb! The accommodation was very clean, well maintained and safe. Petra is quick to respond and very helpful! Next time I am in Zanzibar this will be my home away from home 🏠
