I highly recommend staying here. Don is very friendly and quick in responding to messages and the cottage was amazingly cozy. Very clean and well furnished. It was a perfect retreat to relax in and walk along the beautiful drive. It was back off of a seldom used road and that is what I was looking for. A few wineries are very close and as are some nice hiking locations such as Panther's Den and Giant City State Park. Don and Hanna are great people and I would go back and stay in a heart beat. I have already recommended this place to a couple people as a matter of fact. The eggs from their chickens were delicious and their wine from their nearby vineyard was very good and tasteful indeed. This was a very clean cottage in a quiet, peaceful area. All the comforts of home were supplied, as described online, and our host was helpful and attentive. We especially appreciated not having access to T.V. or internet. It allowed us to "deplug" from our every day stress and fully relax while there. I would definitely recommend this place for a most enjoyable getaway!

We love the Southern Illinois Wine Train and are so happy to discover Don's place! It was perfect after a day of visiting the local wineries. Don is super responsive and the cottage was so cute! Everything we needed was there, and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thanks! Carolyn & Brad
