Roz Ana was a world class host. She was wiling to go out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. She’s a very genuine lady and you can feel positive energy thorough out her property. I am extremely picky and I would recommend her to anyone and looking forward to returning.

A home away from home. My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful month at Rozana Place. Rozana place is a beautiful, scenic and peaceful get away. A tranquil home surrounded by lush gardens. Rozana is a welcoming, knowledgeable and warm host. Couldn’t ask for anyone better. She made my boyfriend and I feel like family. It was very difficult to leave her and her beautiful home. I will highly recommend if you ever visit Trinidad you stay at Rozana Place. A true home away from home.

We stayed at Rose's place during Carnival time. Her place is located about 30-35minutes from Port of Spain (with no traffic). Expect 45-1hr drive with traffic. Before arrival Rose was very responsive to all of my questions as it was my first time visiting the island, I had lots of questions. She patiently answered them all, and even went out of her way to make connections for me to arrange transportation during our stay. Rose's place is a guest house, attached to her own personal home (via a door, which she will sometimes enter thru unexpectedly). The home has a beautiful garden in front. The guest house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. There is also a front living room with 2 couches, and an additional bed in the hallway/walkway, so plenty of sleeping room. The dining table seats 6+. The kitchen was clean and fully equip with pots/pans, plates, forks, cups etc. There is also a back patio with a seating area. The place was very clean and well kept, no bugs. Because her home is gated we were able to leave the front living room door open which gave us a nice breeze within the guest house. Very peaceful environment. There is parking space if you rent a car. Within the neighborhood there is everything you may need, gas station, grocery etc. There is a washing machine on site, but ask about the details as water and access to it may be limited. As a Host Rose definitely acted as a Mother figure. She made sure we were ok, at night, as we were leaving, during the day. Made sure we ate, drank water, had vitamins, checked on us every morning, tried to plan activities for our day. Rose is very passionate about making sure her guests have a good experience staying at her home. With that said, I would suggest to let Rose know your expectations of contact and privacy, upon arrival. Rose has a big heart, and she will go above and beyond to make you comfortable. Overall our stay was a good one. Very clean home, very welcoming. Her home served our purpose of a safe place to stay during Carnival. Rose was very helpful in any and everything we needed. TIP: If coming during Carnival Season, rent a car or hire a driver. Hiring a driver around this time is expensive. But it is helpful for those long nights of partying when you are sleepy or drinking. Although its not too far, That 35minute drive seems much longer when you are tired. Choose the safer route, and let someone else drive. Renting a car is an option but know that parking is a battle in Port of Spain during Carnival. You may literally have to park 1-2 miles away, as streets are blocked off etc. Also in Trinidad they drive on the left, cars have steering wheels on the right, so if you are not experienced in that. Dont rent a car.
