We have been coming to the Boxcar for over 5 years, sometimes twice a year if we can sneak in a second vacation. Just a very peaceful, relaxing area that feels like home. We enjoy fishing from the dock and the local restaurants and establishments. Sue and Jeff are always available should you need anything.

We had a lovely stay! The cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing couple of nights. Beautiful lake with crystal clear water. A quick drive to spooner for delicious lunch at The Dock. Jeff and Sue were wonderful hosts!

The boxcar is a gem! Easy drive into town for an amazing breakfast and coffee at The Dock coffee house a delicious fun dinner at Round man brewery. Around town everybody knows Jeff and Sue and speak highly of them. The cabin is adorable and cozy. We spent time in the lake swimming and sitting on the deck reading and watching the sun set. A great cabin! We especially loved the deck space overlooking the lake and the dock. The lake was perfect for kayaking. Appreciated the firewood for making a few dinners, but it was nice to have a working stove/oven too! The beds were super comfy and it was nice and quiet at night. ❤️ Loved the outdoor neighbor cat who visited once a day.
