What I wanted was quite hard: I have family visiting from USA, and one family member uses a wheelchair. Accessibility is difficult in Israel and to achieve it in an old city like Acre is pretty ambitious. The Zidan Sarai suite is on the ground floor, but inside, there are steps to get in, enter the bedroom, bathroom and living room. Difficult but manageable. Second, taking a wheelchair around Acre Old City isn't easy. There are ruts, and just getting to the breakfast room can be a challenge. Would I recommend Zidan Sarai to a wheelchair user? It's borderline. It's hard work to get in, out, and around. But I thought the staff were patient and understanding of the circumstances. They did their level best to make a hard situation work. I should also take some responsibility for booking a place like this. This was a learning experience. My relative said the room itself was spectacular. She said it was worth the difficulty. Would I recommend it to a non-wheelchair user? Drop-dead yes.

The perfect stay, we came to celebrate our friends bachelorette and loved every minute. Zidan presented our room in a very magical way, with music in the background while he told us the beautiful history behind every room. The space was incredible, large bedroom, amazing (working) turkish hamam. The crew were gracious and gave great recommendations. And in the center and walking distance of everything you need (food, beach).

Hands down, the most amazing Airbnb I've ever stayed in. Zidan's place is even more beautiful than in the pics- and the location in old Akko, right by the coast, couldn't be more special. If you want a memorable place in Israel, this is it. Feels like stepping back in time, but with good wifi and Netflix. 😁 I couldn't recommend it more highly!!
