Tim was a lovely host! He met us to show us how to get to his secluded cabin and gave great local recommendations. Would definitely book again.

We were looking for a place far away from everyone so we could bring our dogs and let them off leash and we found it! You are miles away from other people (with the exception of the sand and gravel pit on weekdays) and lots of nice trails through the woods and to a pond. One of our dogs did have an encounter with a porcupine but fortunately it was minor and we were able to remove the quills. The cabin is cute and we had everything we needed. Four people is the maximum fit as there are 4 twin beds and no full size couch. The wood stove rocks, I cannot get over how efficiently it heats the cabin. The generator is a little loud when outside but glad to have it working for us. We went to Belfast one of the days and it’s a fun town not too far away. Tim was an awesome host who met us at the beginning of the dirt road to drive us to our destination and was extremely kind and helpful. We enjoyed our weekend and would definitely stay again.

Perfect stay. Tim was super helpful in navigating and communication. Very nice guy. Cabin was just as described. Clean and spacious. The grounds were great for a bit of easy hiking. The fridge and stove were in great working order. The wood stove was fun to use on the chilly Maine nights ( Tim provided plenty!). Bathroom worked and was great. My cell phone and personal Wi-Fi worked( though I had no reason to use it outside of GPS). This is the kind of cabin I would want for myself. Off grid but still has the amenities. We will definitely be coming here again.

I came up here for a little getaway in nature to work on some writing. I really wanted a place with total complete silence and that is what I got. i’m about as gentle as they come and not a hunter so hanging out with deer heads looking at me isn’t how I tend to roll but was prepared for that and was happy with this no frills off the grid cabin. It is in a working gravel and timber forest and there is evidence of that out your door but Tim was very helpful to explain that the gravel trucks wouldn’t run on the weekends nor would the lumber operation be running but if you’re looking for extreme silence like I was, being there during the week may be something to be aware of. Tim was super helpful and accommodating and brought me an extension cord and some other things I asked for. I’d definitely come back for a future writers retreat.
