the cabin was very cozy, well equippped, alittle cold in the bedrooms but they providid lots of extra blanketsetc. the location on the lake was incredible. beautiful setting. =, and easy road access to the main highways. we could hear the loons calling every night, which was amazing. It was very quiet and private. had alittle problem with the dryer not drying the clothes so we let allen know. i would highly recomment this cabin to anyone. great place!

Our stay was lovely. The cabin is clean and comfortable for a week on the lake with the family. The kitchen is nicely sized and had everything we needed. The washer/dryer is old and a bit finicky. Lots of stuff for the lake- kids toys, kayaks, etc. I’d definitely stay here again.

Katie and Alan have gone above and beyond to make their cottage on beautiful Lake Messalonskee a good place to spend your vacation. While, at first glance, the cottage appeared small compared to other cottages we have rented, it was very well equipped with just about anything you might need during your stay. Rather than calling it "cramped" , I would call it "compact" and there was plenty of room for 4 adults and 1 child to be comfortable. It is decorated with Maine-themed items and has a very cozy feeling.We are used to coming to Maine in July or August and enjoying being in the water. I should have done more research into the weather in early June then I would have known that temperatures can be in the low 50"s to low 70's. Also, I might have known about the Browntail Moth caterpillars whose toxic hairs float in the air at this time of year and can cause a very itchy rash on people who have sensitive skin (lilke I do). If the cottage were available in July or August we'd return.
