My home is close to nightlife and family-friendly activities. A great place for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with Kids), and furry friends (Dogs only. Limit 2) Guest Access - This upper level home is yours to enjoy along with front and back yard space. Sit on the bench for two in the front yard to enjoy the incredible view of Pikes Peak. Backyard, weather permitting is great for barbecues with friends and family or just relaxing with a good book. The Neighborhood- Being in this location puts you right in the middle of it all. From Garden of the Gods, Olympic Training Center, Old Town Colorado City to Manitou Springs. Getting Around- Less than a mile walk to downtown where you'll find great eateries and nightlife. Head the opposite direction to Memorial Park. Great spot to get in a run or walk the trail around the lake with your dog or play games with the kids. Only a mile and a half from Old Town Colorado City. Bike trail is just down the street. Other Things to Note- Colorado Springs area residence believe we live in an ideal location, and it's hard to argue. To the west the Rockies form a majestic backdrop. To the east the plains stretch for miles. Taken together, the setting ensures a mild, sunny climate year-round, and makes skiing and golfing on the same day feasible with no more than a two-or three-hour drive. You don't have to choose between adventures here: you can climb the Collegiate Peaks one day and go white-water rafting on the Arkansas River the next. The state's second-largest city, it has a strong cultural scene, between the outstanding Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and variety of plays and musicals offer at several independent theaters. The region abounds in natural and man-made wonders, from the red sandstone monoliths of the Garden of the Gods to the space-age architecture of the U.S. Air Force Academy's Cadet Chapel. The most indelible landmark is unquestionably Pikes Peak (14,115 feet); after seeing the view from the peak, Katharine Lee Bates penned "America the Beautiful." Pikes Peak is a constant reminder that this contemporary city is still close to nature. Purple in the early morning, snow -packed after winter storms capped with clouds on windy days, the mountain is a landmark for directions and , when needed, a focus of contemplation.
Home was clean and the location was perfect driving distance for recommended activities.
The home is in an eclectic downtown neighborhood. Most of the homes were built back in the 50's so they have the old charm. We do have some cool newer homes that are great to look at. Overall its a safe and great neighborhood. The home is only a mile from the downtown Main Street, Tejon. Just a mile east from the home is the biggest park in Colorado Springs, Memorial Park. It has a wide range of sports facilities, including an indoor and outdoor pool, a recreation center, trails and Prospect Lake that you can walk or jog around. In the summer they open the beach and you can rent Kayaks to paddle. Lots of fun!!
Public transportation is just down the street about a block away. Of course Uber or Lift is available to take you anywhere.
