Waiting to get the key to check in with a 10 month old baby was stressful. The house could be better maintained and needs updating. There is too much furniture and minimal supplies offered (towels, paper towels, napkins, garbage bags etc). The garage although not part of the rental was a mess. In general, there was not good management of the property.

Marianne was a gracious and professional host. She left a note, fruit, and was responsive to expressed concerns. This home is older and has a lot of ecclectic furniture and collectables which gives it character. However, as with older homes there is a lot of wear and noticable deferred maintenance. The house didn't feel clean when we arrived with trash left in the kitchen, grime on the bathtub, sticky counters, etc. Marianne offered to have it cleaned right away although we declined. Be prepared for other typical issues of an older home such as doors that don't close properly, creaky floors, etc. There is an odor in the master bedroom like moth balls eminating mostly from the dressers. Master bed is small (full or queen) and feels older and uncomfortable. It is quiet and close enough to town to walk, so if you are needing a home base for visiting the area and your epectations are clear, then this is an affordable choice.

The house was a comfortable and cute place for my family and I. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here the next time we come back to Marin! Thanks again, Marianne!
