You 'll have a stay in a lovely, charming village: the life center of Sternatia is Small, cosy and people are warm and welcoming. You'll be just were you wanna stay at if you 'd visit Sternatia..:) Valentina is a power woman, with a great heart , staying in her family house was confortable for me and my daughter. You rent a room in their family house- meanning, you live for some days next to their life rythme. According to the actual situation, covid, I could'nt use the kitchen , but , solutions were offered and we were gently invited to share some meals. <3 <3 You go on the plaza, buy some fruits at the corner, drink coffee at the crazy bar , take the bike to go look around and follow the train rails, discovering all the Agave and Cactus -kind of desert clima.. you definitely should have car- then you 'd be 20 min from each side of the sea.. Ask somebody at the "cafés" for any Garage or car rental contact if you don't wanna go to Lecce to rent . Sternatia has a train station- I didn'use it - Supermarket, Farmacia , restaurant , calm streets, village life :) I could use a bike, drinking morning coffees on the terrasse , and feel home for a few days. Comodo alloggio in centro a Sternatia, cittadina molto carina dalla quale visitare tutto il Salento, poiché centrale rispetto ai litorali, a 15 min da Lecce. Andrea e la sua famiglia sono stati molto ospitali e disponibili, facendomi sentire a casa! C’è anche una terrazza sul tetto, dalla quale ammirare dall’alto le due chiese. Inoltre la colazione di Valentina è stata eccezionale, con tanto di croissant, pasticciotto e frutta! Consigliato!

This is an amazing place in one of the most beautiful villages in Salento. The two rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable... and the one with the fresco is just stunning!! Breakfast is served in a picturesque courtyard, and a fully equipped kitchen is always available to the guests. An abundance of books and several bikes are also available for use. A little gem, highly recommended!!!

This is a lovely house in the middle of the countryside. The train takes you to Gallipoli and Lecce quickly. There is also a bus but I never found it. If you had a car this is a great base to explore Salento from as it's right in the middle. The host provides bicycles which is useful.
