Carolina and her family received us warmly and made us feel at home right away. The best part of our trip is our conversations with them about the local culture and the amazing food they generously shared with us. Well this will be an odd review but needs to be shared none the less! CAROLINA AND MARKOS ARE THE MOST WONDERFUL HUMANS! When I booked Carolina’s place, I booked solely from the reviews as I was looking for a warm, cozy environment and great people to be surrounded by for christmas time as I’m a solo traveler. Carolinas place is actually under renovation and as such, she isn’t actually renting out her room. But because she is the most kind, thoughtful, and amazing human, she said she read my message and wanted to provide an experience for me for christmas anyway! Carolina arranged for a stay at her friend Markos’ place which ended up being right on the ocean! They cooked me amazing dinners and just went absolutely above and beyond to welcome me and share an amazing experience on Chiloe! I felt immediately at home and like a welcomed close friend/family. I can’t recommend Carolina as a host more! She is a beautiful soul of a human with so much love to give! THANK YOU CAROLINA!

Compartir con Carolina y Paulo fue un momento muy especial en nuestro viaje por Chiloé. Pese a que estuvimos por pocos días, ellos nos hicieron sentir como en nuestra casa, nos regalonearon con ricos desayunos bien conversados, datos para conocer los alrededores y un tour a un muy buen precio, comparado con las alternativas que hay en Chiloé. Los recordaremos con mucho cariño, y también a su perrita, Lu.

If you are looking for a true local experience with the most loving and kind souls, you must stay with Carolina! Her partner and friends were the most welcoming and fun group I have come across on my travels! I am so grateful for them opening their home to complete strangers passing through. Not to mention, the bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in all trip and the fresh coffee and spread of breakfast was just what I needed before I hit the road of another long day of travel. I went for the previous reviews and I don’t regret it! You don’t get to meet people like this often!
