Vaughn’s lake house was just as described. There were a few hiccups with the stay, but alerted Vaughn to the issues in which he immediately had addressed. A beautiful home, in a very quiet neighborhood.

We had a really nice time! We enjoyed watching the deer and fishing in the pond. We didn’t utilize the kayaks because of the cleaning fee, but I’m sure that would be fun.

PROS: Nice yard with views of lake. Quiet street with little traffic. Beds comfortable. Wi-Fi and TV operated well. Host was available by phone or text for questions we had regarding nearby amenities, extra towels & sheets, & how to operate the TV. TV instructions insufficient. There are 2 baths, one en-suite, and the other a hall bath shared by other 2 bedrooms. Kitchen is adequately stocked, but could use attention to utensils, more coffee cups, etc. Basic set of spices found. Kayaks & grill stored in the garage, but we did not use. CONS: Water had sulfurous odor & was discolored, so we bought bottled water to use for cooking, toothbrushing, drinking. Host said that house has a well & that he would send someone to check system, but no change in water quality was noted after that. We did not trust the water for toothbrushing & toilet was stained. House seemed dark, especially at night. Requested compensation from host for water issue, but he declined to offer anything.

Super quiet and peaceful place surrounded by beautiful lake view. The house seems aged built but the inside is comfortable to live. Spacious bedrooms and living area. Overall, it’s a clean, cozy, and lovely house. We were unlucky to have the vacation during a rainy weekend and had to give up plans to kayak on the lake. Otherwise, the experience would be 10 times more fun!! We still find entertainment of fishing and rest during the stay. Highly recommend. Will return when have chance.
