This is our second time at Terrapin Station. It was just as we remember. Peaceful setting. Cozy home. We had some chilly nights and the heater was a blessing. Kayaked on the lake, saw and heard the loons, and enjoyed the owls at night. Our son decided to join us for a few days at the last minute, and Wendy was very accommodating with check in dates and times. Wendy had great suggestions for local hiking trails, some of which we did. Would definitely recommend this Airbnb home.

We loved this beautiful little peace of heaven. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The lake was peaceful and so quiet. Listening to the loons sing was both eerie and beautiful. Perfect to just sit and relax. We were able to enjoy the kayaks and the paddle board. The house is pet friendly so we were able to bring our dogs which was huge for us for so many reasons. They seemed to relax as much as we did! There is plenty to do in easy driving distance. We had several rainy days so we checked out a couple sandwich shops that had high ratings (one at the Alton circle gas station), went shopping at the outlets in Tilton and checked out Weirs Beach as well. We also can not fail to mention our host, Wendy. She is fabulous. Down to earth. Helpful. She made so many suggestions for things to do and places to go with the dogs. She’s easy to talk to and quick to respond. She truly appreciates what a perfect gig she has there with this house and just wants to share it with others.

Our family has been vacationing here for years. It’s a relaxing peaceful break from the hustle & bustle of a busy life. The house is so inviting as is the lake. My husband and I love the privacy but between the lake actives and nearby towns there’s plenty to keep the grandchildren busy. Wendy us a great host.
