Really interesting apartment in the middle of the medina, certainly one of the most unique places I've stayed on these travels. This is a great place to be based if you want to really explore. There's also (not photographed) a cool communal space upstairs. It doesn't really get any direct sunlight, which I imagine helps keep it cool during the summer, but in the winter it's naturally dark and a bit chilly. Marouane was a friendly host and kept up good communications! Thanks.

No hot water for entire seven nights I was there. Airbnb confirmed this. I canceled the remainder of my stay due to a cold room and no hot water. Lost monthly discount and had to pay nightly rate for the time there. It appeared no other guests were residing in the building. Host kindly suggested using another room. No hot water in that room either. I attempted to repair a hot water tank. No pilot light indicating gas may have been shut off. I witnessed two gang fights with many men on same street near the host property during my stay. Room painted with Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) paint very recently before check in. Known to cause health problems. Host kindly let me stay in a different room for two nights due to paint outgassing (drying). Significant odor. I left a travel accessory behind when I checked out early due to mentioned problems. Host did not contact to return the item. Overall, an unpleasant experience requiring leaving prior to the scheduled month's stay.

Marouane's place is fantastic and he is a wonderful host. Communication from him, from booking through the end of our stay, was easy and he was always very quick to reply. He is sociable and we had a really pleasant chat while I was in the lounge. He was also always ready to go above and beyond to help - when one of us fell ill during the trip, he called a doctor who came to the AirBnb to do an examination. The place itself is great. Both the inside of the loft and the hotel itself have been lovingly restored. We were two and were able to comfortably work for a couple days during our trip at the two separate desks. There was plenty of space for us, as both of the couches can double as beds. The kitchen was equipped with all the basic necessitities. The only word of caution I would have is for travelers that are very sensitive to noise or light - the loft itself is on the ground floor and there was noise/light all day and night. We didn't mind, but some might.

An incredible space inside a historic traditional building. Authentic and just quite stunning overall. I was welcomed to use the many common spaces including a beautiful solarium on the second floor which is incredibly peaceful, covered in beautifully restored stone and tile. The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, helpful, and consistently communicated with me regarding anything I may need. PERFECT STAY even over a month! I will absolutely return to this location if and when I return to Tunisia. Cannot recommend this exceptional host highly enough.

Marouene is a wonderful host. Very kind and ready to help, he made me feel at home from day one. The loft is beautiful, perfect for a long stay and multiple guests. There have been some issues with the household appliance but Marouene rapidly solved them. The location is great if you want to explore the medina, not far from the taxi station of the kasbah. There is no AC but Marouene provided a ventilator and other stuff to cool down the air. i would totally recommend!
