Jim’s place was the perfect getaway! Gorgeous views, plenty of places to lounge and relax on the property, as well as a super cute interior and lots of extra items to enhance your stay like yoga mats, a telescope, a massage table, and more. We didn’t even get to do everything on our list! We were a little sad that the big fire pit by the pond wasn’t as accessible as it seemed (the pond is at the bottom of a big very steep hill) but the fire pit on the back porch was perfect. Lots of appliances and supplies in the kitchen & there’s a food lion and family dollar about 2 miles away. It’s only a few more miles into town where you can find bbq, antique shops, an old fashioned candy store, a plus size boutique and more! Jim was so gracious to let us check in and drop off our groceries early so we got to spend some time in town exploring before settling in on our 1st day. He always responded quickly & was so kind. Grab brunch at Childress on your way out for the cherry on top of this stay!

The place was such a beautiful home for our getaway trip. Jim gave us such a warm welcome from the moment we got there and was very communicative and responsive with us. We loved every second that we were there for along with all the stunning views, hot tub, pool table, and fire pit. It was everything that we could've hoped for, it was a wonderful experience!

I almost hesitate to share just how incredible Jim’s place is because I want to be able to book it for myself at least once a month! But word got out way ahead of me and I’m the one late to the game! Future guests, everything you are reading about how wonderful this property and host are is 100% true! And like many others have said, the photos and reviews still don’t quite do it justice. It is a magical, romantic and peaceful retreat tucked away into lush, wooded countryside, with rolling hills and a clear view of the clouds and stars. Find out for yourself and I promise you won’t want to leave <3

Exactly as described. A relaxing and peaceful getaway. The inside is very cozy and the deck is breathtaking. Jim was a very helpful host. Would definitely return.
