The House and the Garden are unique and very beautyfull with a lot of pieces of art and naturally built. Perfect for a time out. There is a beautyfull path to the beach which is also very nice and natural. Ismaela and Regula are very lovely Host and Regula is a great cook and serves everyday delicous vegeterian healthy food. Thank you very much for hosting me!

Regula is a kind, friendly, creative and empathic person. She has good local knowledge which is very important in Senegal or things can get a bit confusing. The home is beautiful full of art, sculpture and decoration. From time to time Regula puts on little artistic happenings, musical evenings and even a puppet show. She is aided and abetted in all this by Ishmaila who hardly stops from morning to night and is never failingly cheerful and funny The garden is stunning with plenty if places to find peace and quiet or to socialise. I could not recommend it more highly.

Bei Regula und Ismail ist es so schön, dass wir die ersten Tage kaum vom Grundstück wollten :-) Das Erdhaus und der Garten sind ein Kunstwerk, das vegetarische Essen super lecker. An der Straße zum Strand ist immer was los und gutes lokales Essen gibt es auch. Lieben Dank!

Regula's place is paradise. I have been living and traveling in Senegal for 20+ years, and have never found quite a place like it! The home itself is an earth home, meaning it gives a cozy, calm feeling - and keeps fairly cool in the heat. The property has an enormous private garden area, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the shade, take in the flowers, and daydream (or, work!). The atmosphere and furnishings have earthy simplicity, complemented by colorful art. There are many details that make this place great in comparison to others! Firstly, the mosquito nets are in top condition! Secondly, the shared shower and toilet are cleaned well every day! Thirdly, they offer small hand-held solar lamps for walking around at night. Brilliant. And especially unique for me - Regula cooks vegetarian, healthy food! Lastly, Regula and Ishmael have perfected the art of hosting, while giving plenty of solitude and space to me. It is like being home, and on vacation, at the same time

I booked Regula's place at the last minute and I walked into heaven. The place is lovely and Regula's spirit as a host is such a warm embrace. It's an enchanted and restful place and her assistant Ismaïla joyfully helped me with any needs I had. I had a local guide, but Regula's advice about local connections for dancing and travel was more useful. The grounds are beautiful--there are lots of flowers! The house is an "earth house", meaning made of clay and the rooms are restful and grounding. You will oversleep because it is so restful. May you enjoy your stay here!
