Linda and Paul were awesome hosts. Very responsive and made us feel at home. We especially appreciated a morning espresso they prepared and brought over to start our day. The cottage itself was beautiful, newly renovated, comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend!

The cottage met all our needs, and we appreciated a well equipped kitchen including a moka pot and milk forther for morning lattes. Hosts Linda and Paul were attentive and are very kind people and lovely to chat with, it was an absolute pleasure getting to know them. The beach is pristine as is the Ottawa river beachfront. The deck is awesome at White Oak Cottage with fantastic sunset views. We had a couple of campfires on the beach watching the sunset and making s’mores. We really liked how safe the beach and water was to play in. Rocks and clams are few and between so no need to worry about walking out into the river. Beach croquet was a blast. The floaty island totally rocks for chilling out enjoying the beauty of the river. We made good use of the kayaks and enjoyed heading down to the provincial park where we spotted a beautiful Bald Eagle. Pembroke is close by and has all the big stores you’re used to which is perfect for picking up supplies. Great vacation spot!
