We enjoyed the walks to the water daily with our fur kids. Cooking out on the grill, sitting in the chairs reading, and just general peace and quiet. This is great place to get away for a few days. Jim and Joan provided great check instructions and directions to their Lodges location. There is also a wonderful pizza place just a short drive away if you need a break from cooking try Pino Pizza.

Perfect little cabin for a weekend getaway, the lake is a short little walk from the cabin. Our smoke alarm started randomly going off over and over, and Jim and Joan sent someone over in less than 15 minutes to get it replaced!! Even though it rained most of the weekend but it was still a great time playing uno and board games! We got a lot of quality time together without the normal distractions in our everyday life!

This cabin was very clean. So many fun things to do around the cabin. Life size Jenga, cornhole, horseshoes to name a few. Lots of grassy areas to run and play. Beautiful walk down to the Lake. Beachy area to play in. Kayaks and life jackets provided to go in the water, which we really enjoyed. Large dock overlooking the lake with picnic table to eat a meal on. Was very impressed with lake Gaston Lodge. We will be back!

The houses may be small, but they have EVERYTHING you need. A kitchen with the essentials, a lovely bathroom, a separate bedroom for peace and quiet at bedtime, and a grill for s'mores! And it's a pretty walk to the lake. But bring bug spray, the flies are NO joke. We really enjoyed the canoe and the kayaks, and having a safe place to swim and play. We'll definitely come again!
