Lysøen
Ole Bull bought the island in 1872 and built the fabulous building "Villa Lysø" here.
Ole Bull is passionate about the whole world's inspiration for this house. Here the finest sculptures roast of local origin, David stars and Moorish books inside, and Russian Loop Soup as the most exotic set from the outside. The Lysøen Museum is open during the summer, during the opening hours there is a boat shore from Buena in Lysefjorden. The Lysøen Museum is the only museum in Os. The museum was established in 1974, when the descendants of Ole Bull donated the property to the Fortidsminneforening.
The museum is about the house and everything that belonged to while Ole Bull used it as a summerhouse. The house is an exquisite construction that is not the best place for a city in Norway, and the museum tells the story of an excited person, the musician, composer, eccentric, national romance Ole Bull, perhaps Norway's largest cultural ambassador throughout the world.
Lysøya has 13 km of good walking paths, great scenery, forest firs, view towers and bathing areas both north of Lysevågen and by the pier near the museum area.

Oseana Arts & Culture Center is a unique venture in Norway.
More than 200 million kroner are invested in a fantastic building that will provide good experiences before art and culture for Westerners.

Enterprises and dedicated people in the Os and Bergens region have contributed about NOK 100 million to make us a cultural center with high quality cultural services. Os Municipality has contributed with the other half. Grieg architects have signed a beautiful building that also has Norway's largest solar panel and has become a model project at ENOVA.
The center is a long-term investment in art and culture. The gain is a richer society with more satisfied people. Returns on the invested cultural crowns are in the form of excitement, experiences and a society with good development. This idea will yield dividends that generations can fall off.
