We returned for another visit at Sarka's place after enjoying our previous stay so much! A perfect spot to relax and a convenient base for different outings in the local area. The grounds are so lush and beautifully kept, the pool such a perfect temperature we could have stayed in all day. The bright artworks and gorgeous furnishings in the house - and a comfortable couch! - made it such a delight to temporarily call home. Sarka even left us a plate of home-made cupcakes!

Enjoyed staying at Sarka's property. Easy bus ride into town but a hire car is worthwhile. Great garden and chlorine pool. Local beach is not what appears in the photos - very rough and not really suitable for swimming. However, good swimming nearby adjacent to Hideaway Island. Did not realise we would be responsible for feeding 5 cats twice daily (knew the cats were there). Washing machine extremely difficult to open (had to go on YouTube to work that out!). Last minute notification that the dishwasher was not working but looked like it had not worked for some time. Very noisy at night, with many dogs and roosters making their presence known for long periods.

Sarka was a great host who communicated with us quickly for whatever we need. The house was lovely with everything we needed. Very comfortable beds, great pool and good space. The only issue we had was the constant noise from neighbourhood animals (dogs, roosters, birds) day and night. Would highly recommend hiring a car to get around too so you can get out and explore the area.

My partner and I cannot thank Sarka enough for giving us a beautiful place to stay. The place had much more amenities than what we expected which allowed for a very comfortable stay. The pool was pristine and we enjoyed it everyday. Sarka is a host that is great at communication and can assist with anything you might require. We hope that Sarka would host us again in future! Thanks, Sarka. You guys are great!

Beautiful, private, peaceful home in a secure area. Very well appointed and they left fruit and snacks for us on arrival which was very much appreciated. Pool was great. Cute cats. Bed was very comfy. My main feedback would be that the fans are very slow and it was very hot, on the first night we really struggled to sleep. We noticed that the kids room the fan was much better and was tempted to sleep in there but we ended up borrowing a pedestal fan from my mum who lives on the island and that solved the problem for the remaining nights. But this could be easily solved if the host put a pedestal fan in the bedroom. A couple of other things to be aware of is that you really need a car here. And the ceiling is common to whole house in that the walls don’t go all the way to the ceiling which I think is common in Vanuatu. So for example if you’re in the bedroom and others in living room then you can hear everything. Wasn’t an issue for us as we were a couple staying alone.
