Ha Long Bay is beautiful, and the experience of the cruise was really fun! Food was excellent, staff gentle and helpful, activities very entertaining. Mind to manage in advance the transfer to and from Ben Beo (harbour) and to keep a keen eye on it.

This boat was misrepresented. The outdoor common area was in need of updating and cleaning. And our bathroom smelled like sewer which totally stunk up the bedroom . The food was ok, but served family style with no serving utensils . A small bottle of water was $1 USD On a positive note , the staff were amazing and eager to please . Especially Min who was the best part of this overnight. Jerry’s transfer took forever. What a way to waste a day when returning to Hanoi . I’m not sure of an alternative way to get to Hanoi. I cannot recommend this accommodation. It was the worst stay I had during my 3 week trip to Vietnam

Eine super super tolle Zeit an Board gehabt. Sehr nette Crew, tolles Programm und sehr leckeres Essen. Auch die Orte in der Halong Bucht, die man besichtige konnte, waren einzigartig. Sehr zu empfehlen!

✅We had an enjoyable experience and met lovely people on our one night trip. The food was plentiful and the views were stunning of the bay. However… 🚨The photos do NOT match the boat you will be on. The itinerary listed in the description is different from the actual itinerary. We did not go biking in a local village. We did not have a cooking class. The boat is much older and worn down then the pristine, boat shown in the photos. The dining room shown looks large and spacious, when the actual fining room is a small room with one long table. The rooms are adequate, but not the 5-star quality shown in the photos. This experience would have been worth it if the price was $100 less, but we were expecting a 5-star cruise experience for the price we paid and the boat we expected.

Tip 1: Bring your own booze and Beer! On the boat they charge $5 US for drinks and beers which is about 5x the going rate in Vietnam and 9X what it costs at the market. Tip 2: Book your own transportation this host charges $12US per person each way but just hires one of the many services that charge $6US. Not a huge deal, I chose to let this host book it for convenience but the host's bus is the same old smelly bus everyone takes. You cant go wrong with Ha Long Bay but the boat and host is nothing special, its just like any other budget Vietnamese boat cruise service. Shop around- these photos are heavily photo shopped and this boat is owned by Cat Ba Cruises which is a large operator with lots of boats & this host is a agent only- you can probably find a better deal elsewhere. If your looking for luxury, good food, non- Diesel fuel smelling cabins look elsewhere. BUT- its Ha Long Bay and its gorgeous and the staff aboard is very professional and seem like they love there job.
