This is a must-stay for anyone making the well-worthwhile trek to this beautiful and unique environment. Rebekah’s place is noted on the Christmas Island tourism map as ‘Historic House,’ and this label does not mean there aren’t modern conveniences (Wifi; washer/dryer; air conditioning) onsite. The main benefit to our stay was the dozens of red crabs (and lone robber crab) who’ve made the front yard their home. Many folks strolling past the house took photos and eyed our abode with some slight envy at our good fortune. This was truly a life-changing trip and Rebekah’s place absolutely contributed to it.

Really enjoyed spending a week at Rebekah’s place! It feels very homely and has lots of interesting historic relics on display. The kitchen has everything you need & there’s an esky and ice packs too which is really handy to head out on a picnic! Also was great to have access to a washing machine. It’s in the perfect location & we really enjoyed interacting with all the crab friends in the front garden! Wifi and aircon also work really well. Thanks Rebekah!

Great Donga. This bungalow has a private feel and all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of room to park your rental car, and the location gives easy access to the airport, local villages, and roads through the national park. Rebekah was very easy to work with and offered advice that made our visit enjoyable. This property made our stay on Christmas Island a true pleasure. PS: Christmas Island was very dry during our visit, and therefore, the red crabs were not very visible. Thank goodness for the resident red crabs on the property. We were able to take nice pictures of the red crabs without going far to look for them. Just make sure you gently pour water in their burrows and they will come out.

Christmas Island is fabulous and having a self contained cozy place to relax after an adventurous day was perfect. I discovered some places not known about reading some of the old guidebooks in the house so thanks for those. Highly recommended.

Pleasant location, only ocean glimpses over rooftops. Deck was great.
