Amazing chalet and host!

A great chalet. Positives were - lovely location, comfortable sitting room with an easy to light fire, well-equipped kitchen, big veranda with a hot tub. Gapard was very helpful and always replied quickly. We had bread and pastries delivered most days, which was very useful. On arrival it was great to be greeted by a complimentary bottle of champagne! Main downsides were a lack of toilets in the bedrooms, although the listing gave us the impression that all the bedrooms had toilets in – only two did. It also said in the listing that it was 250m from the slopes - true but there is a river between the chalet and the slopes, meaning the piste can’t actually be accessed near the chalet. You had to ski down a narrow walking path for probably 1.5km before you came to a bridge across the river. A little bit of ‘a stretch’ to describe it as ‘ski in/ski out for advanced skiers’. There was however a free bus 50m from the chalet that came regularly, and the journey was just a few minutes.

The chalet is situated just off a main road, about 10-15mins walk along a snow path to Meribel-Mottaret centre. It's nice because it's private/peaceful, yet accessible by walk or bus. The bus stop is just up the driveway/road which is a 30 second walk! Free buses take you one stop which takes 2 mins to the main lifts in Mottaret, or 8 mins or so the other direction to Meribel main centre. We always went up to Mottaret and skiied down the nice green run 'Truites' or up high from Mottaret. Mottaret is so much better than being based down lower in Meribel centre as you can get up higher-quicker and away from the carnage. The chalet was perfect for two families of 5 (x2) sharing. There is no TV downstairs, its on a kind of mezzanine outside the two main bedrooms but this was actually nice as we sat in front of the huge fire each night and played games. It was a nice change. Hot tub is lovely, and the dining space, boot room and accessories too. Gaspard the chalet host was super helpful!

La Grange was a perfect chalet for our group of 12 friends. Gaspard and his team were very accommodating and responsive to any requests. The added extras of welcome gifts, daily cleaning and hot tub/sauna made our stay throughly enjoyable throughout. Overall we had a fantastic time and would recommend the chalet to any big group of family or friends.

Nous avions déjà séjourné dans ce chalet, que nous avions bcp aimé. Nous avions quelques remarques à notre arrivée mais la communication a été fluide et l’hôte a été réactif. Très belle vue sur la montagne, le jaccuzzi est très appréciable, nous étions 7 adultes avec un enfant de deux ans. Il faut bien évidemment être véhiculé. Très belles randonnées à faire, rafting, etc. Concernant le chalet il est parfaitement équipé, chaque chambre a sa salle de bain. Parfait pour déconnecter. Nous pourrions le louer encore. Je recommande
