Stay at the Best. We were voted Best BnB in Wichita! Come see why. Keith and I love to entertain so being hosts is a great way to do that. Our hope is that you come as a guest and leave as "Family". We are as available you need us to be. We love Old homes. We are sharing our 1910 home to others so they can take a trip back in history. We offer 2 rooms for rent. They are both on the main floor and both have their own bathroom. The home is furnished with period furniture and some original artwork. The floors and woodwork is all original. (We just had all the hardwood floors "redone". They have been restored to their original glory. The parlor is a shared space with a TV. The Parlor is filled with many books with Wichita and Delano History. If you are interested in the history be sure to ask Keith. He is an avid historian of anything Kansas! As an Air BnB guest we offer a nice Continental Breakfast. The table will be set for you by 7:30 in the morning. You will be able to enjoy your breakfast whenever you wish to eat. (Let us know if you need an earlier breakfast time). Breakfast includes: Fresh Fruit, Danish, Yogurt, juice, coffee /Tea, all served on our vintage dinnerware. We love living in the Delano district because it is close to everything downtown. Location, Location, Location - where you can walk to most of the Historic downtown attractions. Delano has a rich history of the early cowboy days. A lot of the buildings in the Delano district are still standing from those past years. We are close to many attractions including: River Front Baseball stadium, the first "New Way" hamburger restaurant in town, Quaint shops that offer both hospitality and unusual gifts. Guests have told us about their wonderful experiences while eating at the many restaurants in our area. Gabby's Peruvian, AVI Seafood and Chophouse, Los Pinos Mexican, and many others. Braums has a small grocery story within their hamburger and ice cream restaurant. The Keeper of the Plains is a big attraction for those who visit from out of town as well as the locals. Be sure to check it out. Fire pits are lit around it at 7pm-7:15pm in the fall. The time is moved to 9-9:15pm in the spring/summer months. Several Museums are a short drive from us as well. Cowtown, Art Museum, Exploration place, nice newer public library and Botanica are all very close. If Theatre or the Symphony are of interest to you, 1 mile away, across the river is our Century 2 convention center. We are also very close to both Friends & Newman Universities. You can get to most of these these locations with a short walk to the FREE Q Line stop. This is a free bus that will take you from mid Delano to down town Wichita. Final Fridays are a busy time in the Art district. Check it out! The Q Line will take you from Delano to College Hill and let you on and off all along this route. We can offer special girls spa night or Tea Parties for both young and old. We have beautiful gardens and a special Garden Tea Room in the back by the fire pit. Be sure to ask in advance about having a tea party or other special event. We have a small dog, Dozer, who loves everyone. Parking is FREE in the driveway to the side of the home.
