Upon your arrival at the cottages, one of the first things the owners recommend to do, is make your way down to the beach on foot, across the neighbouring fields at Porthiddy Farm West, through the rough common in the valley and stop and take in the views of the bay. This short walk will take you past old cottages built for fishermen and workers at the old slate quarry (known as the “Blue Lagoon”) and is instantly uplifting, particularly if you’ve had far to come. ACCOMMODATION: Located all on one level, the Front Door leads into an attractive, comfortable open-plan Living area - full of character, with a 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, TV/DVD, dining table to seat 4, and feature kitchen area that is well equipped with electric hob and oven with extractor-fan, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, fridge and freezer. The large Bathroom has a full suite with corner shower, hand basin, WC and bath. The pretty Double Bedroom has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and door leading to a small outside patio area. The Twin Room has 2 single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers with pleasant views from the bedroom across the farmyard garden at Porthiddy Farmhouse. Outside: The back door (accessed through the double bedroom) overlooks the farmyard garden and there is a small patio terrace area (unenclosed) with outdoor table and chairs for you to enjoy breakfast alfresco.
