“The Honeycombs Airbnbee” Welcome to “The Honeycombs Airbnbee”. I’m Missy Combs. Thank you for checking out our home. Giving our guests a great experience means everything to us. We will always do our very best to make your stay a great one. Please give all info at the time you request a reservation so that we both are clear on expectations and I will be happy to help you in any way that I can, in a timely manner. Let me start by saying this is not a hotel situation, it will be more like staying with family or friends on vacation. We want you to feel at home, relaxed, comfortable and most importantly, safe! We are not looking for a permanent roommate situation. We don’t rent to anyone local to the area. We gladly accept extended stay guests such as students, guests here for work or training, guests looking to buy or rent in the area that have a waiting period but are already employed, internships, out of towners here for social gatherings, vacationing and traveling through the area, contract workers such as nurses and medical staff, relocated here with a job. This is not a good fit for retired or unemployed individuals that do not have secure housing elsewhere or a job or specific activity that has brought them to the area. That being said please keep in mind that we rely totally on your excellent review history with Airbnb when approving your reservation request. For my safety, I absolutely will not rent to anyone that makes us feel uncomfortable, does not have profile info, makes us feel unsafe or does not give enough pertinent information when requesting to stay in my home. If your reviews are questionable or negative feedback has been reported against you or posted on your profile, we will not be able to consider accepting your reservation. I try very hard to be accommodating even on short notice but planning ahead is extremely helpful. Most helpful hints- You must always have a photo of yourself on your profile so your hosts will know who to look for when you arrive. Please make reservations under the renters name. Also, you will need to provide information about yourself and anyone traveling with you. You will need to provide the number of guests during the approval process. Absolutely no extra guests, no visitors, don’t invite anyone inside, no pets, no children, no parties, no smoking, no drug use, no alcohol unless you plan to share with the host! Jk! No meetings of any kind are allowed in our home at any time. There is an extra fee for extra guests which needs to be approved prior to arrival or a double charge will be applied and you could both be asked to leave. For our safety as well as yours, upon arrival you may be asked to show your ID to make sure it matches your Airbnb profile information. My living area, Master suite, master bathroom and my garage are completely and totally off limits to any and all Airbnb guests. Your privacy will always be honored and of highest priority but for verification purposes you will need to provide your FULL name in your inquiry, where you’re visiting from, the nature of your visit, work, interview, vacation, family gathering, funeral, wedding, special event, an approximate time you plan to arrive and plan to leave. If you’re here for work please state your employer, where you will be working, if you’re a day sleeper, awake hours, have a serious medical condition or have any special needs or concerns. Your inquiry should include this information as it is the main part of the approval process, especially if you are on an extended stay. The information about your stay helps us make decisions when bookings other available rooms. I know the surrounding area pretty well and I can give an estimated time and distance from my home to your destination giving you an accurate, realistic commute time. We offer you a very safe neighborhood with a neighborhood watch and we are lucky enough to have local law enforcement patrol our neighborhood on a regular basis. We are a close community and our neighbors are nice enough to help out if we are needed but unavailable. This is our primary residence but we have plenty of room and give our guests as much privacy as possible. You will have a private bedroom. The guest bathroom is shared only if their are two guests booked at the same time. I have my own bath inside my bedroom. We treat every guests as good as we would want to be treated. I sometimes have two rooms booked at the same time. We ask that night time hours be respected as quite time by all that are here. You are welcome to bring and use your personal electronics, games, your own TV, game systems, etc. You may bring your own bedding, linen and towels but it is not necessary. I have everything you need. I ask that during night time hours everyone stay in their own room, no sleeping on the sofa. This is to make sure that sleepers are not disturbed during the night. If all guests decide to watch TV together in the living room or Kitchen or play games or use gaming system in common areas together and there is no conflict with sleep schedules that can be decided among you. My goal is that everyone leaves here happier than they can here. Sometimes communal dinners are planned and are fun but we are not offended if you choose not to join. We expect you to come and go on your own accord. We do our own thing, in our own area most of the time and we have rotating schedules. We will assume that 11 is a good cut off time for common areas but mostly just try to be as respectful as possible when it’s bedtime. Remember, to clean up after cooking your meals. You may put your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and it can be started anytime it’s needed. This includes wiping off counter tops and stove top each time you cook. Cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink as well as trash bags. Also, be mindful that you may share a bathroom if both rooms are rented, otherwise you will have it to yourself. The calendar on the refrigerator will always indicate the name of the guest and which room they are in. If there’s no name listed then you will have the bathroom to yourself. When you inquire I will always inform you if there is already a guests in the other room and their schedule or if reservations are added. Please, within reason, keep the bathroom sink/mirror, counter top and toilet tidy after use. This is asked of both guests in hopes that no one has to walk into a dirty bathroom. I don’t charge large cleaning deposits and I only charge a one time cleaning fee of $5 at the end of your stay. This is for flipping the room and getting it ready for the next guests. This keeps your cost and fees as low as possible and is why you are expected to at least tidy up after yourself during your stay. Bathroom cleaning supplies are under the vanity. Guests don’t always check out before I leave for work and I don’t always get off work early enough to do a walk though before new guests arrive, your help is greatly appreciated. I’m happy to wash linen and towels if they are brought to the laundry area in the hall way. Please don’t leave dishes, pots and pans or any kitchen items out on the counter after use, use dishwasher or put them away. I will empty the dishwasher and put items away when they are clean. Cooking should be done and cleaned before 11 pm. If you need to do your own laundry you are welcome to do it with no charge. If you need your clothes laundered for you we would be happy to help you with that, however, if we do your personal laundry my son will charge you $5 on load for washing and folding and accepts tips. Lol Over the years as I get new questions asked or inquiries about things I haven’t had to deal with yet that require more info or details. I try to add new info into this profile so every possible question has been answered already for you but if you need more info just ask. Much of my business is with folks here on business and travel nurses. They are here to work and get good rest. They turn in early and awaken for work early. So it’s best that we all understand the house rules before booking. Also, I have one dog. His name is Kota and he stays outside or in the garage when we are not at home. You will not have to have contact with him but he is a friendly people lover. He doesn’t free roam inside. He responds promptly with basic commands. Lastly, lol, Hosting an Airbnb has been a very rewarding experience for us! We’ve met some really awesome people from all over the USA, The UK, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Korea , China, Japan, Scotland, Africa , England, Denmark, Russia, Mexico, The Netherlands, India, Hawaii and Helsinki. We’ve loved getting to know our guests and learning about other countries, states, cities, towns, customs, religions, races and cultures. We’ve been hosting over 6 years now. My son, Hunter, graduated from ASU with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with hopes to work as a First Responser or in law enforcement some day. We both work at hospitals in the are. I work 12 hour shifts in the ER of a local hospital. We both are pretty busy but around if we are needed. I’m also a Beekeeper and and nature lover. I love to spend my free time in my flower gardens.
