María was a wonderful person, very pretty and very happy and always willing to help us. The location of the room is spectacular, with views of the sea from the terrace and from the room. The room is somewhat small but has everything you need. We loved staying there so much, it was very sad to leave.

We spent 2 nights at Maria's place. The house is lovely, we liked the charm of the old building and imo it was accordingly furnished and decorated. We knew the location was right at the harbour in the old town, so we didn't expect it to be quiet. With windows closed we didn't hear any noise though. Unfortunately a storm came in and the shutters constantly hit the wall so we couldn't sleep the first night at all. We removed the shutter the second night and informed Maria about the incident. Renovations are planned, so I am sure that issue won't be a problem any longer. The only downside was the bed, the mattress has seen better days and was not exactly comfortable. Still I 100% recommend the place. Perfectly located, great views (especially during the storm), and everything there you need. Shower was hot and kitchen well equipped. A problem with community kitchens is that some guests are cleaner than others but in total that's a minor issue Maria can't be blamed for. We'd stay again.

I love Pension Theresa and always stay here when I visit Chania. It is very charming and the owners are super friendly and flexible.

Be aware this place is essentially a hostel! No doubt a pretty much unbeatable location. Maria was kind and responsive. But the 'hotel' was so creepy and dirty we had to move places. You could see and feel the springs in the bed. The shared kitchen was absolutely disgusting and unusable. The shower had hair in it. Our first room we couldn't even close the door from the inside. It was not cheap for Chania prices and we got an incredible place for only 10euro more each night. There are alot of winding stairs to get to the first floor and another long set to the second. If a hostel is what you are looking for, this is not a bad one, but it's certainly not how it's advertised.
