My husband and I spent a week with family and friend for our wedding at the beautiful Villa Merlo Nero. It was everything we wanted and more. A beautiful location, quietly tucked away from the streets of Florence but close enough to enjoy the offerings of the city. The team at Villa Merlo helped recommend vendors for our wedding, and we went with every single one without any disappointment. The villa's responsiveness, cleanliness, and accommodations were nearly perfect. We absolutely will be back!

We had a lovely stay (20 guests). The villa is very spacious and clean with a lovely pool which was great with the warm weather. Ginevra was very helpful before and throughout the stay, helping guests sort out missing luggage and taxis. Lovely place for a wedding or event!

Nothing can summarize our stay at Villa Merlo Nero. The beauty of the Villa and it’s scenery, the amenities around you, and the most gracious and responsive hosts. My husband and I got married here and I would do it again and again if allowed. If you’re planning a relaxing holiday with family or for a wedding, no need to doubt, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

We stayed at Ginevra’s Villa Merlo Nero for 5 days for our wedding with ~25 people. It was amazing! Everyone was comfortable in the rooms which feel very historical. Ginevra was pivotal in helping us plan and prepare our wedding as she advised us a wedding planner, chef, etc. The pool area was fabulous as we hung out, played pool volleyball, and a Pizzaolo Amerigo made us amazing pizza in the outdoor pizza oven the day after our wedding. The garden and grounds are exquisitely well kept and beautiful. It was a bit challenging to cook for 25 people ourselves, as the main villa chef kitchen is only used for events. As such, we cooked in the small kitchen in the villa antica next to the main villa. I recommend to get a full chef if you intend to cook for 20-25 people as the kitchens are not suitable for this kind of job (even for me I love to cook, but cooking pasta for 25 people was a challenge). There is also not enough seating for that many people in villa antica so if you do cook in that kitchen you will need to move the food over to the main villa to have seating for a big group (outdoors on the porch). Overall - an amazing experience for our family and friends. The caretaker Antonio was super helpful and Ginevra’s communication was outstanding! We hope to stay again in the future!
