Susan is a fabulous host! She met us at the property and took us on a tour of the home. She had generously stocked the kitchen with staples and more (even the fixings for nachos!). The house is cozy and comfortable; bedrooms well appointed; bathrooms immaculate. Throughout our stay she connected with us to make sure our visit was smooth and fun -- lots of restaurant and shopping recommendations; clear directions to the venue where we attended a wedding -- even reminding us about setting our clocks back! She's wonderful!

The house was advertised as pet free, but there was a cat on the porch and it kept trying to come inside. Our kids cat allergy flared up so bad we had to leave. Additionally, each room had at least 10 ladybugs crawling on the ceiling and at least two other types of bugs crawling around. We communicated all of this to Susan and requested a partial refund since we had to leave and get a hotel. She refused. We then reached out to AirBNB and provided them pictures of the cat as well as the bugs crawling everywhere. It was literally like a horror house. -- our kids were scared of the bugs on top of breaking out in hives from the cat. We were genuinely shocked the host expected us to stay in a bug infested house with cat and denied a partial refund. AirBNB provided us with a partial refund even though the host refused! Clearly Airbnb thought the cat and bug pictures were completely unacceptable. We never leave bad reviews, but maybe I can save someone from going through what we did.

Susan was a delightful host and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Her thoughtfulness in appointing the house and preparing it for us was the highlight of our stay! The house is very well stocked—she even supplied lots of basic cooking supplies in the pantry and basics in the fridge like milk, eggs, yogurt and bagels—which was so handy and thoughtful. Lots of games, clean sheets, and towels abound, as well as little touches throughout. The house is a little dated but she has plans for updates and it met all our needs. We came for VMI Parents Weekend and we didn’t spend much time at the house but when we did, it was great to have a beautiful, peaceful backyard setting for the kids to play in after the game while cooking dinner for our large group of 8. The house is 10 min from Lexington along a beautiful route. Would stay again. Thank you!

Susan was very friendly and helpful. Her place was clean, accessible, and looked just like the pictures. We had an amazing time and would definitely stay again!
