We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at our Airbnb in Santa Elena, Antioquia, Colombia, which is hosted by Mónica and her husband, Juan. We were very impressed by the cleanliness, peacefulness and safety of the entire area and the friendliness of the neighbours. In our opinion, Mónica and Juan were super hosts. They were very attentive to all of our daily needs. Mónica speaks English well, in case you don’t speak Spanish. Overall, we were so thrilled with their rental property and their hospitality, that we invited them out to dinner at their favourite restaurant- Sublime. The next morning, they gratefully drove us to the airport for a very reasonable fee. All in all, we would highly recommend renting from Mónica y Juan when visiting beautiful Santa Elena. They have now become our Colombian friends.

This is an excellent airbnb and I would highly recommend it. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The hosts clearly put in a lot of effort ensuring they are providing a high quality accommodation. The neighbourhood is very quite and safe. It's a 5 minute walk to the grocery store, and you are within 15 minutes walking distance to many restaurants. There are also countless hiking trails through the forest in the area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. They even took us hiking in the area several times. Check in was super simple. The host meet us at the house even though we got in late. The wifi is very fast and never caused any problems over our month long stay. After years of travelling, I can say that this is one of the best airbnb's we've ever stayed at.

We love this place Beautiful surroundings and the house is comfortable and have everything we need. Make sure to bring comfortable and warm clothes nights are very cold Laura is a great host.

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I have had. I did a 3 week visit. The place is very quiet, tranquil and peaceful. The weather was very nice, low 20s this time of year and teens at night. Lots of blankets were available to make the nights cozy. Birds will come to the feeder if you leave apples. There was a small fireplace in the bedroom that was fun to use. I always enjoy a fire. Trails for walking were nearby. Town on Santa Elena was very charming to visit. Ordering food was very simple and easy. The place was very beautiful and clean. Soap and toiletries were supplied along with some firewood and welcome snacks. The hosts were really nice and friendly and explained everything and even provided extra firewood, a ride to Medellin, and a late checkout. The only thing out of control of the hosts was there are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood and some nights there was quite a lot of barking for a few hours, but it didn’t really bother me.

Juan and Monica are the loveliest hosts and made me feel welcomed and at home from minute one. I knew I had a resource if I had a question or needed a suggestion for a hike or restaurant, anything. And their place is beautiful and comfortable—I truly cannot recommend staying with them enough! I wish I could have stayed longer!
