Cedar Cabin feels very secluded while being just a short hike to a beautiful beach and within easy driving distance of parks, restaurants and lots to do. This is a rustic cabin, but the improvements that have been made are numerous, including a new shower and vanity, new flooring in some rooms, and track lighting. Appreciated that there was an abundance of linens, pillows & paper products. Also had great TV reception, board games and even an Alexa so we could have music. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the future.

We would love to give this cabin a five star! Sean’s cabin and surroundings were everything we were hoping for - simple, rustic, private, and close to the beach. We stayed here a week and enjoyed walking to the beach nearly everyday. We roasted marshmallows around the campfire and made sweet memories with our kiddos. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is two things. First, the cabin was lacking essentials (eg TP and salt) and wasn’t very clean and inviting. There were dirty towels in the hamper and the only way to wash those needed towels was at the laundromat. The bathroom also wasn’t very clean and the beds weren’t made when we arrived. Also, we are from out of state and were hoping to find a vacation guide to the area, but none was available. Second was the hosts slow response time. My initial message after booking had a question and he never responded, then when we were there he responded a day later and wasn’t super helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but don’t plan to return.

Has many amenities in the cabin and nearby. Can also pitch a tent on the property, with permission. Dog also allowed with specific permission from host and paying a pet fee. Short drive to the beaches, parks, and restaurants. Port Crescent State Park has a Dark Preseve, which is wonderful to experience the night sky. The Farm Restaurant is outstanding with fresh local produce, and homemade deserts and breads. A little pricey, but well worth it. There are a lot of places to purchase firewood along the roads. $5 honor system drop-box for a bundle. Sean was very responsive in his communication and answered all questions promptly.

Comfy cabin in the woods a very short distance from public beaches. Great host.

We enjoyed our stay in this private , quiet home in the woods . Close to Caseville and Port Austin . Short walk to the beach .
