Alam, the building manager/caretaker, asked me for a security deposit of RM300 at the time I checked-in. This RM300 security deposit is not mentioned in the room listing and also not included in my Airbnb booking payment. I told him that I did not have that much of money as I had already paid a lot of money for the Airbnb booking itself. I also told him that it is against Airbnb rules for hosts to collect additional payment outside the Airbnb platform. Alam still allowed me to check-in and handed my room keys to me but he was pestering me for the payment of RM300 security deposit for about 4 days continuously. Since I really did not have the money, Alam even suggested that I borrow the money from my family or friends. At one point, he even soft-threatened me by saying that the management might cancel my booking if I do not pay up the RM300 security deposit. Although Alam did eventually stop pestering me for the RM300 security deposit, he became very cold and unfriendly towards me compared to the time when I checked-in, and made me feel unwelcome there. I was stressed up by this incident quite a bit and the stress contributed towards me falling sick with flu after six days of staying there. I have a cat, and my cat litter box had started to smell as I was too sick and weak from the flu to clean it up. When I started recovering from the flu on the ninth day of my stay, I discarded the cat litter into a plastic bag, and I was bringing the litter box into the common toilet to wash it when I was stopped by Alam. I was so shocked when Alam asked me to wash the litter box outside the building using the pipe and hose beside the gate of the property. The litter box was not even that smelly as I had discarded and scraped all the litter off the litter box. Alam said that some guests who are staying there might not like it if they saw me washing the litter box in the common toilet. If your property is advertised as being pet friendly, and all furry companions are welcomed, but then my pet or its litter box is not welcome in your common toilet just for a simple wash, aren't you being a hypocrite and not really pet-friendly in this case? I also told Alam that I will make sure the toilet doesn't smell if I wash the litter box there and all my previous Airbnb hosts had allowed me to wash the litter box in the common toilet. Alam then told me that he had not seen any guest washing their cat's litter box there as all guests who had cats just scooped and discarded the cat's litter on a regular basis without washing the litter box. I then did not want to argue with him further and just washed my cat's litter box outside the building near the gate. I then reported to Airbnb that Alam had asked me for a RM300 security deposit outside the Airbnb platform with the screenshots of messages from Alam as evidence. Airbnb launched an investigation in response to my complaint and had asked the host to provide an explanation of the RM300 security deposit which Alam had asked me to pay. The host did not reply to the investigation. I immediately found another place to stay with the help of Airbnb as I did not want to continue being hosted by a host who is shady and unethical.

Nice place, comfortable for a solo traveler. Please note that the room has no aircond. Aircond only in common area. But the fan in the room is good enough for me. The common area is beautiful, lot of books and the house also has a good parking place.

I had a great time stay here. The coming area is always quiet and very condussive for work or studies. Lots of books to read if you are a bookworm :). A very strategic location with parking space available. WiFi is excellent. Feedback: 1. Although it's expected but it will be great if the bathroom is cleaned frequently. At least a thorough cleaning twice a week. Also, it will be nice to change the toilet basket plastic on basis. 2. The small single bedroom is extremely hot. Although a fan and a cooler are provided but the cooler is not working as expected :) Overall, it was a great experience for me and I'll recommend this place for anyone who's looking for a long-term low-cost stay. It worth it.

Everything's great, just that the common area will be quite hot on daytime, due to the lacking of insulation of the roofs.
