Amazing property to escape to and enjoy all the beauty that the driftless region has to offer. Renee was incredibly kind and offered many suggestions of things to do in the area. Her property is gorgeous and hiking around it and having a bon fire was one of our favorite highlights of the trip. Highly recommended!
A magical cottage in a beautiful area, quiet and full of stars. Do make sure you've got stand-alone GPS or a good paper map; in the hills of the Driftless, some cell carriers' coverage is spotty. The 11-yr-old navigation in our car did a better job than our phones did! Plan ahead for no internet & no TV in the cottage itself and enjoy the time away. The farm is very pretty; there are some mowed footpaths & a delightfully crunchy gravel drive to walk and even a little waterfall to discover. The sunrise views at the top of the hill are worth the hike up the path to the right of the cottage in the early morning dark. Plan for wet shoes as the little hollow can be quite dew-drenched in the mornings. From a hook for a vanity bag to coasters to flashlights & bug spray for night hikes and well-placed nightlights, everything was well-thought-out and comfortable. Highly recommended.
I would highly recommend staying at the Trillium Springs Cottage. The cottage is charming and cozy and the surrounding property is serene and peaceful. Definitely check out the waterfall path and hilltop fire pit. If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you!

Renee's place was in a beautiful location. Renee was easy to communicate with and gave lots of helpful information. we really enjoyed the view from the top of the hill but was a challenge for us to get up there. Got our exercise between the walk up the hill and the stairs to the bedroom. If we were younger it would be a piece of cake, lol It was a very nice get away and relaxing with the camp fire and gorgeous views. lovely property. takes you back in time.
