Quaint little cottage that felt like home. Joanna and Ann are great hosts and make you feel welcomed the moment you step inside. They have all the amenities you might need for your stay. Perfect location if you’re looking to do both Halifax and Peggy’s Cove. Would definitely stay again if we were to come back. Thanks for a wonderful, comfortable stay!

Shad Bay was a great spot for staying put and enjoying the water or exploring and getting to Peggy’s Cove and other nearby sights like Prospect Bay. The house was charming, well-equipped and comfy. We loved the deck with grill and gas fire pit.
Genau so stellt man sich airbnb vor. Transparent, ungeschönt, keine Überraschungen und eine TOP-Unterkunft. Absolute Empfehlung! 5-Sterne. Wer hier nicht zufrieden ist, hat von vorne herein was anderes gesucht.

Best friends for many years, Ann is a travel professional and JoAnna is in logistics management. We love to travel and have done so extensively. We acquired Castle Bay Cottage in the summer of 2018. With an eye to making it our own we have remodelled the inside into a charming and cozy space - exactly the kind of place we would love to stay in when we travel. This 100+ year old cottage is a little gem tucked away in a quaint, picturesque nook of our home province of Nova Scotia. Our goal is to make each guest experience the best possible and hope all our guests will love Castle Bay Cottage as much as we do.
