The dust has settled, we are finally back home, and all we can think about is the wonderful time that we had at the Perrault House. I don’t know how to precisely capture in words how well taken care of my family and I were during our stay. Saying the house was well appointed is an understatement. It was like I was at home. I missed out on nothing. I wanted for nothing as Denise carefully and masterfully anticipated the wants and needs of a traveling group by providing everything from soaps to laundry detergent all the way to sticks for roasting s’mores/hot dogs at the firepit (the wood was even provided). You can feel the love and care as you walk through the house at every turn. There were books galore throughout the house that made my book-loving heart happy (movies and board games, too). If I had more time, I’d grab a stack and head to the swing on the porch and read until I fell asleep. If you are looking for relaxation and a little magic in the details, the Perrault House is it.

We all LOVED THIS PLACE! This house is very special already - a 1911 stunner with lovely old wood flooring and a wonderful light-filled kitchen. Then Denise equipped it with top-of-the-line cookware, dishes, glassware, and appliances. So even though the listed chef experience was "on pause" for our stay, we all enjoyed EATING IN every night. The place is stocked with the softest pillows and the best hand soaps, etc.... oh my, we felt very WELL-TAKEN-CARE-OF! The living areas, inside and out, were perfectly arranged for MAXIMUM ENJOYMENT. And we all had fun at our first-ever NATCHITOCHES CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL!!! For all who like to WALK: it's a nice 1.2mi walk to the heart of the festival and the primary shopping/dining area. If you walk across the Keyser Ave bridge to Jefferson/Front St, you will have sidewalks all the way into downtown (just prior to this bridge there's approx 300ft of commercial property w/o sidewalks). There are no sidewalks on Williams Ave just north of Keyser.

The Perrault house is by far the BEST Airbnb I have ever had the pleasure of renting. This home is immaculate and every personal touch you could think of is done with a flare. As we walked in the home a dancing and singing Santa greeted us along with chocalate truffles and candied pecans. The kitchen is beautiful and equipped with all the high end appliances you could ever want. Need a juicer? It’s there, a French press? It’s supplied. But not just the appliances also the coffee, tea, hot coco, bottled water. Denise goes over and beyond what is expected of a host and we felt the love. The house was decorated Beautifully for Christmas. They had christmas themed dishes and coffee mugs, a beautiful christmas tree, garland and lights all around. i honestly could go on forever about this home. I will end my review with saying, rent this home! you will not be disappointed. We cant wait to return!
