Erik's carriage house was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Erik was very friendly and responsive although we had no issues during our stay. We would love to stay there again! We were in town for a conference at Allerton Park which is a short drive from the house. Highly recommend both!

This was my second stay at Eric's place. I met him as I was checking in as he was just finishing up cleaning. The last guest has stayed extremely late and I was a few minutes early. No problem, he was through by the time I unloaded the car inside the downstairs entry. Bad weather was impending and he offered their basement if the weather turned ugly during the night - thankfully, it stayed south of us & shelter was not needed. But it is nice to have a kind welcoming host. The loft is exactly as pictured in the listing. It is very well thought out and decorated and was a quiet peaceful place to rest, relax and sleep. Monticello is a nice small town just off I-72. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area. Mainly I am always traveling through going to & from TN. I usually cut through the country from I-74 and then back through the country to I-57. Both ways are nice drives, especially if you drop a bit further south through Arthur's Amish county.

Cute spot in a beautiful neighborhood. The affordable studio carriage house was perfect for the two of us and our little dog. Erik was accommodating and communicative. If I travel back to town, I know where to stay.
