We enjoyed our stay, thanks and the pool was fun. Load-shedding is an issue, but that affects everywhere, not just this property.

We have such a lovely stay. All the amenities one would need. Easy to access the property no matter the time. Friendly staff and a host that was very responsive. Very quiet area and spacious clean place. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Will visit here again without hesitation

Butterfly Apartments is a clean, safe, peaceful base from which to enjoy Livingstone (about 20 minutes' walk to the centre) and the many extraordinary sights and activities available in the region. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable; its furnishings, utensils and crockery were pristine. The outside area photos on the AirBnB listing show views around the whole of Butterfly Lodge, whilst the interior photos are exactly as we found our specific apartment. The entire site is gated with security staff on duty, although the people of Livingstone were as friendly and easy-going as any we've met anywhere in the world. All the staff at Butterfly Apartments were warm and approachable. Co-host Peter was especially helpful. Our week-long stay coincided with 2024's first week of scheduled powercuts across the whole country, so we had some long evenings without electricity (top tip: bring a magneto lantern or equivalent!) but it's a nation-wide situation and we can only wish the people well.

Ethel's place turned out to be as good as described, if not even better for our family of 4. One pleasantly unexpected bonus was air conditioning in the bedroom. Ethel was away, but her co-host, Peter, welcomed us warmly and was very responsive to all our questions and needs. He fixed a defective light bulb very quickly and arranged taxi services to town and elsewhere very efficiently. The swim pool was a great bonus and the location is easily accessed from the town centre. We would highly recommend Butterfly Apartments lodge to anyone.

Ethel and her team were great! Peter, Precious, and Penny checked in on us each day to see if we needed anything. Ethel was available for questions when we needed her. 4 of us were here for a month and it was great to be able to cook in a reasonably well stocked kitchen. The beds are comfy and everything was super clean. We did not realize all 4 beds are in the same room so our group had to get to know each other a little better, haha; our mistake, the listing was clear. The pool was a fantastic thing to have to manage the heat. All in all the stay was fantastic!
