João was a fantastic host and helped us in our trip to the Blumenau Oktoberfest. Not having a good feel for the city this place turned out to be very convenient and the host even picked me up at the bus stop in town. We did have a vehicle so we didn't explore around the house much and spent most of our time in the city center or visiting other sites. I did have some time by myself and João was nice enough to take me on one of his errands that led to some Cachaça Distillery's, a nice addition for me.
