The apartment was very cozy and no more than a 30-minute drive from most things in and around the DMV! However, you are living in someone's basement for the duration of the stay. So you can hear what I presume was the owner upstairs with their family, and we felt a little subconscious of our volume when watching a TV show or the like. Otherwise a terrific stay though and very easy to get in and out.

I would like to start off by saying that the basement apartment was kept clean and organized. However, there were a few issues we encountered during our stay. We stayed here for 5 days, and for a full day, we were without power in the living room and hallway, including the microwave and refrigerator. This caused many of our dairy products to go bad. Additionally, there was a severe issue with ants; they were always found in the restroom, on the bed, and on the couch. The dryer also doesn’t work very well; it took a few rounds for our clothes to become halfway dry. Upon arrival we had to cross a ditch. Now, be warned, the ditch is SUBSTANTIALLY STEEP. It was challenging to go down and back up. I would suggest wearing tennis shoes when crossing; otherwise, you might roll down the hill. At the bottom of the hill, there was a big ditch of mud that ruined any shoes we wore while crossing it. BE WARNED, it is a basement apartment, so the temperature inside matches the temperature outside. We

Really good place to stay but the internet is really slow. Since it’s also a basement, network service is low as well. During my stay I had one bar the whole time and trouble with WiFi connectivity.
